Help with custom sequence flow

Hi everyone,

I am trying out LGM and was wondering if anyone has experience with custom sequences and would like to give some input on the following sequence:

  1. Request to connect
  2. If connection request is accepted during 7 days we initiate a linkedin sequence with an outreach + 2 follow-ups
  3. If connection request is not accepted after 3 days we initiate an email sequence with initial outreach + 2 follow-ups

Scenario I need feedback on:
If the lead does not accept the LI invite during the first 3 days we initiate the email flow. But what if the lead accepts the LI invite 4 days after the request was made? In this case it will technically still be within the acceptance period in (2) above and would it mean it then triggers both flows?

To make it easier for others to understand your question, i tried to replicate your flow:

In your case:

  • day 0: you send the contact request
  • day 3: you send your 1st email
  • day 4: he accepts your linkedin invite
  • day 4: you will send them a linkedin message

What could go wrong ?
I guess you ask yourself: will they receive both emails and linkedin dms ?

They will, because the workflow is requesting to do this (if he accepts during 7 days, send this message). In your case, i would probably use the same value (7 days) for both branches.

But, keep in mind that LGM is smart, and will stop whenever you get a reply, being on linkedin or by email.
