Question regarding AI

Salespeople… I have a question regarding AI.

But first, a bit of context.

A few days ago, someone left this comment on one of my posts:

“[The] most frustrating thing about sales… is the push to have [AI] tools automate ALL your outreach. Now, there are less personalized and human focused efforts…”

This got me thinking…

How are the BEST sales teams going to be using AI in the next 2-3 years?

Or maybe an even better question:

What’re some ways that AI would genuinely HELP you in your sales process currently?

Far too often, I see tools that use AI in way that is completely useless.

A tool that automatically generates comments for Linkedin posts?

Really? Why would that be necessary?

The whole POINT of a social media platform like Linkedin is to make HUMAN connections, not to have robots spam you with fake comments.

In my opinion, AI should ONLY be used in a way that is going to enhance your life, make you better at your job, make you more efficient, etc.

In a sense, AI should be your own personal sales ASSISTANT.

AI should give me the time to do the tasks that I WANT to be doing.

This includes building relationships through linkedin (yes, that means leaving my own, REAL, comments too), cold calling, account research, and much more.

Whether we like it or not, AI is NOT going away.

So, with that being said, what sort of things would YOU like AI to help you with?

Thank you for bringing up that subject @oliverjohnsonnn

I think that AI will never replace human but just optimize him. In 2-3 years, those who are the best sales will have teach their own AI what they want to do and how they want to that. And then the AI will just duplicate much faster, actions that the sales would exactly do the same.
AI will never be useful to build up something without a detailed strategy and set of actions. It’s only good when educated. It’s just a talented child assistant

Spot on! AI should be used to EMPOWER reps.
